1-First, for those who don't know you, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Amber Flora, born Hackettstown NJ. My parents Michele and Ed Flora born and raised Parsippany, Nj. I grew up most of my life Hilton Head Island, SC.
2-When you were a child, who was your favorite wrestler? Why?
Goldberg, Sting and Lita. I see something in their characters that I can relate to in building my own. The passion and drive they had.
3-How did your parents react to you wanting to become a wrestler? and when did you know you wanted to be a wrestler?
My dad laughed and was a smart ass with me but he knew I was serious and told me now is the time to do it. He didn't want me to have regrets when I'm older and said to go for it. My mom was more concerned for my safety and health. She doesn't want me to get hurt. They have both been very supportive.
4-You have the passion and the determination to be a wrestler but for you, what will be the hardest sacrifice to be a part of the wrestling world?
The hardest part of it all will be being away from my family for so long. Not seeing them for months at a time. My family all of us are very close. I come from a big family. Family of 7. My parents, older sister 27, older brother 25, me 24, two younger twin sisters 22. We are all close in age.
5-You auditioned for Tough Enough this summer, the was more a popularity contest than a show to find the next WWE Wrestlers, so do you regret the fact that you wasn't on the show?
I agree with you about being a popularity contest. There wasn't enough learning. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. I don't regret it, I'm actually thankful and see it as dodging a bullet. Reality tv, drama, fake can be a bad opportunity. My sister said it best to me when she said after I didn't make the show that "Amber your going to make it, just not that way."
6-In your tough Enough audition, you said you were moving to Orlando to pursue your wrestling career so how do you see your future in wrestling? What are your goals for the rest of 2015 and 2016?
I believe I have opportunity. I have faith for what I cannot see with my own eyes. Whether I make it or not I want to enjoy the ride. When I get to the end of the road I want it to be because of the decisions I made not someone else telling me which turn to take.
7-You also said "I drive a 1973 Chevy Nova like a girl can! I change my own oil like a girl should" when I heard this I saw you as the next Anti-diva, do you think you are an Anti-diva?
I stand for strong woman that can have a valuable tough career but also be feminine. You don't have to be a Barbie swim suit model. I want young woman like myself to chase dreams and change the world, be a super girl.
8-What are you thoughts on women's wrestling (WWE,Shimmer,Shine,...)? And the WWE divas revolution?
I love it. They are a great opportunities for women to get noticed and gain experience. Women are more than just talent looks wise, being attractive pin up models but being strong physically and mentally.
9-Who gave you the most valuable advice? What was this advice?
Everything and anything my Dad and Mom have ever told me. Being a simple man, good hearted. Knowing right from wrong and standing up for yourself. Doing a job the right way the first time so you don't have to go back and redo it.
10-How did you feel when you were training with Scott hall? And how did you feel when you saw his tweet about you "Keep an eye out for @FloraNova1973. She has IT. I predict a bright future for this young lady. #FutureDiva"?
I felt blessed. I'm thankful. It felt like it was like a confirmation of what I've thought about myself all this time. To have him see the potential in me, that I know I have. It's nice to have other people confirm with me what I've felt for myself a long time.
11-It was the last questions, do you have anything to say?
This is for my people back home that have made me what I'm trying to be. I won't let them down. I can't. For having my back and loving me. I'm blessed. I was tired of day dreaming, looking out the window thinking of what could be.. If it could? Tired of letting life happen instead of making it happen. Like the movie The Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller. I have to thank this one fireman I worked with. He was like a mentor for me, inspirationally. I've had the pleasure of many wonderful people to cross my path. I'm looking forward to many more. So keep on Rockin in the free world.
